Sweet Strawberry Bruschetta


Bruschetta is traditionally known for its savory tomato and basil topping, but have you ever considered turning it into a delightful sweet treat? Sweet strawberry bruschetta combines the classic, crisp bruschetta base with a juicy, sweet topping that’s perfect for summer evenings or as a fresh addition to any brunch table. This recipe is not only easy to make but also incredibly flavorful, offering a beautiful balance between the crunch of the toasted bread and the lusciousness of fresh strawberries. Here’s how you can make your very own sweet strawberry bruschetta.


  • 4 slices of French Bread, cut into 1/2 - 3/4 inch thickness
  • 6 Tbs. light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon zest
  • 2 tsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3 cups homegrown strawberries, hulled and diced
  • 4 Tbs goat cheese, at room temperature
  • 4 Tbs. of Eckert's Pure Honey


  1. Toast bread.
  2. Heat a medium skillet over high heat. Add brown sugar, lemon zest, and juice; cook, stirring constantly until sugar melts and mixture begins to bubble, about 1 - 2 minutes.
  3. Add strawberries and stir until juices begin to release and berries are just starting to heat, about 30 seconds. Remove immediately from heat.
  4. Spread 1 tablespoon of goat cheese on each piece of toast. Top with warm berries. Drizzle with honey.
