Tom has been working for Eckerts Orchards as the Farm Operations Manager for over a decade. Tom comes with an extensive background in row crops, animal husbandry along with a broad background in agricultural machinery and equipment.
Tom has a degree from the University of Illinois Champagne /Urbana in Agricultural Mechanization. Tom is currently responsible for the growing of 250 acres of peaches over 100 acres of Apple. Along with many specialty crops such as plastic culture strawberries, blackberries on a rotating trellis, tomatoes, peppers and pumpkins.
Tom is the proud father of three daughters and one son. In addition he is the holder of two United States patents.
His hobbies include boating, golf and raising cows in his spare time.
