  • What is Jack's Lighted Trail?

  • Jack’s Lighted Trail is a captivating evening stroll featuring beautifully crafted, illuminated jack-o-lantern displays woven throughout a corn stalk trail—capturing the enchantment of Halloween. Guests can also enjoy farm-fresh snacks, seasonal drinks at the “Spook‑easy” and Cider Shed, and plenty of picturesque photo opportunities.

  • Is Jack's Lighted Trail Scary?

  • While the experience leans into a playful Halloween vibe, it’s not intended to frighten—expect a hint of spookiness, but nothing startling.

  • Is Jack's Lighted Trail suitable for all ages?

  • Absolutely! Jack’s Lighted Trail welcomes visitors of every age—so fun for families, friends, and anyone looking to enjoy a seasonal nighttime adventure.

  • Are the pumpkins real?

  • You’ll encounter both authentic and artificial pumpkins along the trail. Artificial ones are hand‑carved to withstand conditions and maintain their vibrant design throughout the season.

  • Can I bring outside food and drink?

  • Nope—outside food isn’t allowed. But no worries—you’ll find tasty eats throughout the fam, and both the Spook‑easy and Cider Shed offer seasonal drinks and snacks for purchase.

  • Is the trail wheelchair/stroller accessible?

  • The wagon ride to the trail is accessible and we’re glad to assist with boarding. Once you’re on the trail, be aware it’s gravel—not paved—so some mobility devices may find it a bit tricky. Many still manage just fine, but we want to set expectations. If bringing a stroller, we reommend a running stroller.
  • What happens if it rains?

  • We keep a close eye on the weather leading up to each event. If conditions become severe or unsafe, Jack’s Lighted Trail may be canceled. In that case, guests will have the option to receive a refund or reschedule their visit. Please note, if the event remains open and you choose not to attend, refunds will not be issued.

  • Do you accept cash?

  • For Jack’s Lighted Trail purchases—including check-in and merchandise—credit cards are required. The Cider Shed is the only exception where cash is still accepted.

  • Can I bring my pet?

  • Pets on a leash are welcome outdoors at Jack’s Lighted Trail! However, inside the restaurant and Country Store, only service animals are permitted.

  • What if I am running late?

  • That’s okay—late arrivals are still welcome. While early entry to the trail isn’t permitted, you may check in and join the line for the next available time slot after you arrive.

  • Can I purchase tickets at the event?

  • We strongly recommend buying your tickets online in advance to secure your spot. Tickets will be available at the gate only if the event has not sold out online. Please note that gate pricing is significantly higher—$35 per ticket—regardless of the date selected.

  • Who needs a ticket to attend?

  • All guests age 2 and older must have a ticket to enter Jack’s Lighted Trail.

  • Where is Jack's Lighted Trail located?

  • The event takes place at our Belleville Farm: 951 South Green Mount Road, Belleville, IL 62220. Guests will check in at the big red barn, located north of the Garden Center at the top of the hill.

  • What is the estimated walking distance?

  • The walking trail is approximately a half mile long.

  • Do you offer refunds?

  • Refunds are only provided if Jack’s Lighted Trail is closed due to hazardous weather. If you need to switch your event date, please call 618-233-0513 x 0. Requests must be submitted prior to the final night of the event on November 1, 2025. Requests made after this date will not be accepted.

  • What forms of payments are accepted?

  • Admission, food and drink stands, and souvenir stations at Jack’s Lighted Trail accept credit card only.
