Celebrate one of Kentucky’s sweetest weekends at Eckert’s during our annual BBQ, Blackberries & Bluegrass Festival! Fresh-picked blackberries, mouthwatering barbecue, live bluegrass music, family activities, and plenty of farm fun come together for a full day of summer memories.
Spend the day picking your own blackberries, sampling seasonal treats, browsing the Country Store, and relaxing to live bluegrass music while the kids enjoy face painting, blackberry-themed crafts, carnival-style games, and plenty of room to play. Be sure to try our fresh blackberries, blackberry jam, artisan bread, and ice cream for the ultimate taste of the season.
The fun continues all day with a full lineup of festival entertainment. At 10:00 a.m., join us for a live Blackberry Jam Demonstration. At 11:30 a.m., cheer on contestants during the Pie Eating Contest, followed by our Best Dressed Peach Contest at 12:30 p.m. Then test your own farmyard skills—or simply enjoy the laughs—during the Animal Calling Contest at 1:00 p.m. Live bluegrass music rounds out the afternoon from 2:00–4:00 p.m., featuring Anthony Stratton on Saturday and the Will Padgett Trio on Sunday.
Throughout the day, you’ll also find delicious barbecue from a local food truck, fresh blackberry treats, product sampling, yard games, and Pick-Your-Own blackberries available from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Whether you’re filling a bucket with fresh berries, competing in the pie eating contest, enjoying live bluegrass, or simply soaking in a beautiful summer day on the farm, there’s something for every age to enjoy.
