For the first time ever, Eckert’s will be hosting a Wine & Food Fes
tival the weekend of March 5th & 6th. The festival will be held at our Belleville location from 10 am to 5 pm. At Eckert’s we are striving to create a wine and culinary festival that complements the array of amazing offerings from the Country Store and the great selection of wine we have available – over 200 labels.
Eckert’s Wine and Food Festival is a celebration of wine and food. It is the perfect opportunity to learn about many different types of foods and discover the art of cooking! There will be free tastings, recipes, and food preparation tips for all. Free cooking demonstrations taught by local food editors Suzanne Boyle and Janice Denham will be held in our classroom. Wine tasting will be available, and don’t worry we didn’t forget about the kids. Our Kids Zone will include free ‘make and take’ lettuce planting activities, ice a cookie, and a bounce house. Eckert’s Wine and Food Festival is great for any food and wine enthusiast, and a perfect activity for the entire family!
The cooking demonstrations will take place on both Saturday and Sunday, 
March 5th & 6th at 10 am, noon, 2 pm and 4 pm. Each demonstration will be approximately 45 minutes long and will be held in the Classroom inside of our Country Store. Our cooking demos will have guest hosts including Janice Denham, Suzanne Boyle, and Eckert’s culinary specialists will also be joining in on all the fun! Deli Lead Chef Darin Stine, and President of Eckert’s Orchard Chris Eckert will also lead cooking demonstrations. Be sure to join us for a culinary experience like no other!
Inside our Country Store you will find free product sampling! A variety of different stations will be serving up some of Eckert’s most delicious products. In our Bakery department you will find a free sample of every type of Eckert’s pie, be sure to vote for your favorite.
Eckert’s wine experts will be on hand to help you find the perfect wine. For our serious wine drinkers there will be ‘wine tasting passes’ available. When you purchase a wine tasting pass for $20.00, you will receive an Eckert’s souvenir wine glass and get to choose wines to taste from a selection of over 20 different local, domestic and international wines. Also on Saturday at 2 pm, Chaumette Winery will be giving a free presentation!
