Eckert’s First Beer Class

Join us for our first beer tasting class! Beers will be artfully matched with fine cheeses. The Beer Guru, Patrick Sullivan with Koerner Distributing, will share his knowledge and passion for quality brew with you. If you’ve ever been to a wine tasting and enjoyed it, now here is your chance to mix things up and attend a beer tasting. Beers can be just as sophisticated as wine. There have been many claims that wine is more complex than beer and vice versa. Eckert’s doesn’t lean one way or the other, we love them both! During this class you will learn some general information about beer, such as the many basic ingredients like barley, hops, yeast and water. Microbreweries have become more and more popular recently, and beer seems to be becoming a more sophisticated beverage. Now that craft-brewed beer is growing across America, people are anxious to learn more about it. The beer class being held here at Eckert’s is a must for beer education, and a good excuse to have a great time! The Beer Class will take place on February 22nd from 6 pm – 7:30 pm at Eckert’s Country Store in Belleville, Illinois. The cost is $20.00/person. To make reservations please call 618.233.0513.
