Thanksgiving might still be a month away, but Belleville District 118 students are already showing how thankful they are.
Eckert’s is happy to be participating in Radio Disney’s MOVE IT program in the fight against childhood obesity. Sponsored by Belleville’s Memorial Hospital, this program is designed to encourage healthy eating and increased physical activity among today’s youth. When considering how best to contribute, Eckert’s carefully evaluated all options available, ultimately choosing to donate apples to all 11 schools. This decision allowed us to reach nearly 4,000 students with nutritious snacks and actively support healthier lifestyle choices.
As a result, we have received an overwhelming amount of thank you cards from Belleville students, which are proudly displayed in the front of the Country Store. We are so proud of all of these construction cut outs, hand drawn apple trees and special letters.
Now we would like to take the time to thank the kids’ for their gratitude and let them know that it is always our pleasure!
