NEW Private Event Packages in Eckert's Classroom

One of the most exciting additions to our facilty in 2010 was our new 1,200 square foot cooking classroom. Not only does this space serve as a place to hold our cooking and wine classes, but we've found it works great for private events and networking too!

Private Cooking & Wine Classes

Eckert's private classes are a fun and unique option for a bridal shower, a group or club outing, birthday party, or just for a fun night out with friends. All of our classes are skillfully designed and taught by Eckert's culinary staff and wine enthusiasts. Each private class receives an additional hour to use the classroom space for socializing, gift opening or networking.

Team Building Cooking Classes

What better way to learn to work together than in the kitchen! Our Team-Building class serves a four-course meal featuring six semi-hands on recipes. Our format is designed to encourage interaction and to foster cooperation among participants. Enjoy this unique activity with work colleagues or friends.

Make a Day of It and Visit All of Belleville

Eckert's is proud to be a long-time resident of the City of Belleville. One of the oldest cities in Illinois, Belleville is home to the region's best shopping, dining, entertainment and recreation establishments, all just a short drive from St. Louis. Boasting a rich culture with a well-preserved history, this "beautiful city" is the perfect day trip. Here are just a few of our family's local favorites:

Belleville Main Street

Historic Belleville Main Street with its small-town charm, houses a shopping and entertainment district that is nearly 200 years old. Stroll down this beautiful streetscape and enjoy unique vendors, art galleries, quaint dining and so much more.

Cathedral of St. Peter

St. Peter's Roman Catholic Cathedral is the largest cathedral in Illinois. Beginning as a parish in 1842, the church became the seat of the new Diocese of Belleville in 1887. Throughout the years, the cathedral has been expanded and restored, currently seating over 1200 parishioners.

National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows

People of all faiths can enjoy over 200 acres of peaceful surroundings at the Shrine. Hosting more than a million visitors a year, pilgrimage and motorcoach groups can reserve coach or trolley tours and attend daily mass and prayer services.

Art on the Square

Belleville's annual art fair, held every May, has been voted #1 Art Fair in the Nation three times by the Art Fair SourceBook. Both visual and performance artists from across the country apply every year to be a part of this nationally recognized event.
